Enhancing Websites with PHP

Display Database Records in the Browser

Knowing how to create a database and use PHP and SQL to insert records into it are great skills to have. However, to become fully in control of your database, you also need to know how to query the database and display the results of the query in your browser, which is what you will learn in this unit. In addition you’ll learn some more validation techniques to help you maintain data integrity by preventing guests from entering any potentially harmful characters whether intentional or not. Examples include entering code in any web compatible language, entering leading or trailing spaces, back or forward slashes, single or double quotes, or any sign or symbol that the server may incorrectly interpret as a code character.
